Stillwater trout on a glass-flat highland dam fishes differently from the live river. The dams reward patience and precision: long leaders, slow presentations, sight fishing. The farm’s live river — a separate piece of water — offers faster current, cutbank lies, and pocket water behind boulders. Both water types included with your stay. That combination does not exist anywhere else in the area.

The dams are regularly stocked and operate on catch and release across all but one designated
keep dam, where trophy trout can be weighed and taken home.

The stone hot tub sits on the deck above the dam. Wood-fired, hand-built from natural flat stone.
Light it in the afternoon, let it heat through the cold highland air. By evening the dam is dark and
mirror-flat below you. Steam rises off the water. The highland goes quiet. Most guests say this is
what they remember most.

The villa is built from hand-laid highland stone, black steel, and natural timber. Exposed beam
ceilings run the full length of the interior. Natural plaster walls in deep olive and earth tones give every room weight and warmth. Every bedroom and living space opens through floor-to-ceiling
black-framed glass directly onto the dam. At night, the still water reflects the sky. The design is
quiet and intentional.

Two en-suite bedrooms sleep up to four guests. Entirely private. No shared access, no shared
facilities. The open-plan living area connects to a fully equipped kitchen and flows onto the deck
above the water.
